Our amazing classmates will reconvene and celebrate together at 7:00pm on Saturday, April 27, 2024 at Dunwoody Tavern (5488 Chamblee Dunwoody Road).

To maximize the attendance and based on the results of a survey many of you answered, we are changing things up from our recent reunions. There is no registration fee! That’s right! You will simply run a personal tab with the tavern, just like a normal night at The Fondue Pot with your buddies in the 70’s, except on this night you’ll be partying legally!

OK, so what is next? Here are a few important details and action items.

MORE ABOUT THE VENUE: The Dunwoody Tavern has become a staple in town over the past 25+ years. They have indoor and outdoor areas, and we will play the tunes of our day throughout the night. The tavern serves good quality bar grub and of course they sport a full bar with lots of wines and draft beers (and bottles too). Here is the menu. It is located across Chamblee Dunwoody Road from Dunwoody Village (where Fill ‘em Fast was, for those who recall that as a place to get beer without being carded!)

DHS SCHOOL TOUR: We are planning a 45-minute guided tour of the hallowed halls of DHS on Saturday April 27 at 10:00am. In case you don’t know, the building went through extensive remodeling/enlargement about 10 years ago which added another floor and a large auditorium. If you have not seen it, you should. It’s impressive!

** ACTION REQUIRED **LET US KNOW YOUR PLANS: Even though there is no registration or entry fee, we need to get a count so that the tavern can prepare staff and accommodate our group properly. Please go to this link by March 15th to register. You can also tell us your plans for the DHS tour on this link.

** IMPORTANT ** HELP SPREAD THE WORD! Because we eliminated the registration fees, we also stopped using the paid reunion organizing company we had previously used. All the work on this year’s event has been done by a volunteer organizing committee of your classmates. We have relied mostly on Facebook to spread the word. But we need your help and branch outside of only Facebook!

     ● FACEBOOK: Once you are a member, please invite your DHS ’79 Facebook friends to join too.

     ● EMAIL: Most everyone in our class stays in touch with different circles of our DHS classmates. There is power in numbers! Please help us. Simply copy/paste or forward the info above and send it to 10 or more people you know from our ’79 class.

    ● PHONE/IN-PERSON: No explanation required. But do it! Spread the word.
